More Pics from Prague
More pics uploaded from Prague. Check them out HERE
Stacked graves at in the Jewish Quarter
The fairy tale village of Chesky Krumlov seen from the castle
Oh man, Chesky Krumlov is just full of amazing architecture. It's like stuck in time which I think adds to the attraction. When you went to Prague, did you get chance to see the huge astronomical clock? I remember seeing a great celebration of its 600th birthday on youtube (OK, I found the video here... it's well worth a watch - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjWJHEmFfPA). Unlike yourself, I haven't visited the castle yet even through I've been a few times. We did visit the Graveyard in the Jewish Quarter and of course the Lennon Wall (which I first thought was called the Lenin Wall! much to my embarrassment.)
My husband and I take Prague city breaks a lot just because we've fallen in love the the city. We've rarely ventured outside of Prague into the rest of the Czech Republic, but if you've got any recommendations on where we should go do let us know.
Are you planning on going back there any time soon, Josh?
We did see the astronomical clock. Its a pretty interesting monument, incredible to imagine it being first engineered. And, its funny to feel the mood of the crowd once the clock strikes, its as if everyone is thinking 'that was it?' Well, the guidebooks certainly warned us...
I can completely see not leaving Prague when visiting. There is so much to see and its such a beautiful city. Though I have no immediate plans to go back, its definitely been filed in my 'cities to return to'. I actually think this would be a really enjoyable city to live in for an extended time.
